What is the shadow of the sun? If the outside temperature is 40 degrees C in the open areas, what is it in a shaded area?
In fact, in this position, we have provided the shading for our benefit .
With increased knowledge of the dangers of over exposure to the sun for prolonged periods,especially at high UV readings we are taking more care to erect suitable shading. Shade Sails are becoming more affordable and easier to erect , creating welcome havens when it is searing hot outside.
Sun naturally affects the morning and evening air temperatures ,so with laptops and mobile phones we need to be mindful of the risk of damage to these when in direct sunlight especially over 35 to 40 degrees C as the transmitted temperatures are far greater.
Outside the temperature is always measured “shadow” away from direct sunlight. Inside if your computer is seeing direct sunlight convection in the air normally, then you should use a remote-sensing infrared thermometer to measure the various points outside and inside the computer (if possible) to determine the temperature (when exposed to direct sunlight). Alternatively, you can place a thermistor, thermocouple, RTD sensor, or semiconductor (always in the shade) and run wire leads out the equipment container, and then measure the temperature inside the equipment with a meter abroad.
